Description:
A beautiful Hermès cashmere and silk shawl featuring the iconic “Cuirs du Désert” pattern, originally designed in 1988 by Françoise de la Perrière. Rendered in a rich red palette, this piece showcases Hermès’ signature attention to detail and refined textile artistry. The blend of 65% cashmere and 35% silk gives it a soft, lightweight feel with elegant drape—perfect for layering year-round.
This shawl remains in very good vintage condition, with no holes or snags. Some pilling present, consistent with natural wear to cashmere fibers (see photos). Two small pulled thread lines (one horizontal, one vertical), visible on close inspection only; do not affect wear. A timeless Hermès collector piece that elevates any wardrobe.
