She drew inspiration from classical forms, but created art by mingling in her own passion of contemporary, abstract sensibility.
There is beauty in simplicity—and this form has graceful and flowing lines. She commands your attention (at over 2’ in height), but subtly, using no dramatic colors, nor wild expressions—just seemingly at peace, immersed in tranquil thoughts.
Introspection is a talent that has somehow disappeared from today’s society—and one that should be re-introduced! No one wants to look at their own faults, as it is so much more fun to point out someone else’s! This sculpture should remind us all, that we first need to heal ‘ourselves’, before we can ever hope to help anyone else.
