Made … Read more A very attractive, useful and versatile Georgian mahogany side or console table of good quality in lovely antique condition. Made in England in the early 19th Century, this charmingly demure table would work wonderfully in a variety of settings and will add bygone quality and a superb antique aesthetic to any interior.

Traditionally hand-crafted from beautifully grained mahogany showing lovely, aged colouring, this handy display and storage piece is ideal as a hallway console table and would also work excellently as a side table in a variety of rooms.

It features a usefully sized mahogany plank top with decorative moulded edging and has a dovetail joined, mahogany fronted drawer with fruitwood bordering, showing lovely grain patterning and colouring. The drawer is completed by the original, delightfully attractive Georgian brass handle and the table it is set on charming, squared and tapering fruitwood legs.

All in all this is an extremely attractive and useful side or console table, which will add bygone Georgian character and quality as well as antique colour and charm to any setting.

CONDITION
This lovely table is in good-to-very-good antique condition. Solid, sturdy and structurally sound, it has the original Georgian brass handle and has only minor to-be-expected marks and knocks to show it's not inconsiderable age. There are some hard-to-notice historic worm holes, mainly to the rear legs, for which the whole piece has been treated, and it has been polished to look its best. Overall it’s a charmingly attractive Georgian piece in lovely antique condition, and if well looked after it should remain just as fabulous and useful for many more generations to come – please see the photos.
