Antique American Solid Walnut Slant Front Writing Desk With Drawers Circa late 1800's.
Beautiful piece of early Americana.
Possibly Pennsylvania, circa 1850-1895.
Solid American black walnut with Eastern pine secondary wood. Dovetailed drawers with brass butt hinges consistent with older, pre-WWII manufacturing.
Slant front, drops to rest on side rails, revealing eleven interior slotted compartments.
Overall great condition for 130+ year old piece.
Has been refinished. Handles were replaced early 1900's and have been brightened. Key assembly has been removed, but key fits in slot. Scratches and scuffs consistent with age. Structurally sound, drawers and writing surface function as intended.
