Costumes of Mandarin officials from Tunkin (Tonkin, north Vietnam) and a noble and girl from Malaya (Malaysia).
Goedsche (1785-1863) was a German writer, bookseller and publisher in Meissen. Many of the illustrations were adapted from Bertuch's "Bilderbuch fur Kinder" and others.
