She Dreamed of Feathers unfolds like a whimsical opera of shapes, creatures, gestures, and unexpected symbols. The composition dances between abstraction and storytelling, giving the impression of a world where everything — beings, colors, and lines — communicates in its own language. At the center, a radiant yellow form rises like a saxophone, a spine, or an instrument of breath, surrounded by circular eyes that watch the scene unfold. This central figure feels both musical and alive, a glowing organ around which the rest of the universe orbits.
To the right, a tall character draped in blue and white stretches upward with soft elegance, its red hand open as if summoning or greeting the floating orbs around it. On the opposite side, a mysterious vertical figure with clustered round elements at the top stands like a guardian or storyteller. Between them, the purple and blue internal structures create a heart-like movement, evoking a rhythmic and emotional quality.
At the bottom, a small owl-like companion with wide, curious eyes grounds the entire composition with a touch of sweetness and humor. It seems to observe the whole scene with calm wisdom, as if it belongs to this world of floating shapes and musical color just as naturally as the larger beings. Dots, spirals, and curved black lines create an atmosphere full of motion, echoing your signature “Tourliboulis” universe — a joyful abundance of rhythms, breaths, and silent conversations.
Why I Love It:
I love this piece for the way it blends mystery and playfulness. The small owl brings a gentle, almost childlike delight, while the more complex central form evokes a deep sense of musicality and emotion. The colors — soft lavender, bright blue, glowing yellow, vivid red — create an immediate sense of harmony. Each shape feels like a character, yet the entire scene flows like one living organism. It feels like a dreamscape where everything is softly connected, full of imagination and tenderness.
