The circular top is beautifully decorated with a finely detailed border of floral garlands and foliate swags inlaid in contrasting woods that enhance the warmth and depth of the mahogany. The outer edge is elegantly crossbanded and string-inlaid adding definition and refinement.

The frieze is similarly adorned with delicate floral and ribboned inlay, a hallmark of fine late 19th-century English design. Standing on tapered square legs united by shaped stretchers with a circular undertier, the table combines decorative elegance with superb balance and proportion.
