“Cartography of Tenderness” unfolds like a tiny emotional map inhabited by two eccentric, endearing characters. Each figure is shaped by bold curves, graphic stripes, and expressive colors—radiant pinks, sunshine yellows, sky blues, deep blacks, and unexpected bursts of green. Their bodies bend toward one another with a quiet, unspoken closeness, as if they share a gentle secret or a subtle affection that only they understand.
The background bursts with floating dots and cosmic shapes, creating a dreamlike, weightless atmosphere. The long yellow horns, the playful red hands, and the ring-shaped form between them add a sense of mystery and humor. Despite its size, the drawing feels like a complete universe—a small choreography of intimacy, movement, and curiosity.
Why I love it:
I love this drawing because it feels like emotional geography—two beings navigating the space between them with care, amusement, and tenderness. The composition is wonderfully balanced: one figure is grounded and open, while the other is tall and enigmatic, yet they connect effortlessly. The colors radiate warmth and joy, and the characters carry that playful, poetic energy I adore creating. It makes me smile every time I look at it.
