Tragedy unfolds like an emotional landscape suspended between light and shadow. The smoky greys and deep indigos create a turbulent backdrop, while vivid bursts of red, green, orange, and violet pierce through like memories struggling to reach the surface. Fluid lines twist and tremble, giving the piece a sense of movement and vulnerability—as if everything is shifting, dissolving, and re-forming at once. It feels like a map of inner turbulence, where color carries the weight of unspoken stories.
I love Tragedy because it is sincere—raw, unfiltered, and emotionally direct. The colors collide in a way that feels deeply human, balancing fragility with strength. It is one of those pieces where I painted with total freedom, and that freedom is still alive every time I look at it.
Materials
Acrylic paints on unstretched canvas, combining diluted washes, layered pigments, bold impasto marks, energetic linework, and subtle textural variations. Lightly varnished to preserve depth and tonal contrast.
