“Childhood II” continues my personal journey into the landscapes of early memory — a place where colors speak louder than words and emotions rise like petals in the wind.
In this painting, vivid blues and deep purples create the atmosphere of a dream, while bright flowers burst forward with fiery reds, oranges, and yellows. The contrast feels alive, almost musical, as if the flowers are small sparks of joy dancing through a world of swirling blue energy.
I love this piece because it captures a very intimate feeling — the way a child sees the world with awe, intensity, and imagination. The flowers do not behave like real flowers; they behave like emotions, like surprises, like sudden bursts of tenderness. The shapes bend and move as if everything is breathing.
I love the tension between calm and chaos — the flowing cool tones wrapped around bold, impulsive reds. It reminds me that childhood is a place of wonder but also of mystery, of things half-understood and deeply felt. This painting holds that duality: the sweetness, the turbulence, the magic.
When I look at it, I feel connected to the part of myself that still creates instinctively, freely, without fear. This piece is a tribute to that inner child and to the wild garden of feelings that shaped me.
