An exquisite 19th-century Karabagh runner rug, handwoven circa 1850 in the Caucasus region. This museum-quality piece showcases an elegant repeating floral medallion design set against a soft rose field, framed by an intricate border of scrolling vines and stylized blossoms in muted tones of green, ivory, and burgundy.
Karabagh rugs from this era are celebrated for their refined Persian influence and delicate color harmonies. The detailed floral motifs and subtle abrash throughout the field reveal the character and craftsmanship of true 19th-century Caucasian weaving. Despite its age, the rug remains in excellent antique condition, offering both historic depth and timeless beauty.
