All chairs have plank seats, … Read more A well matched harlequin set of early 19th century chairs made of English elm wood. All chairs have plank seats, elegant turned spindle backs and curved horizontal rails. Rich dark brown patina finish has been untouched and recently freshly waxed. Each chair reflects the craftsmanship of the individual maker resulting in subtle differences in each piece. The six chairs are paired off as almost matches. The dimensions ranges and the average the height is 35" high x 18" wide x 16.5".
The first set is 36" high x 18.25" wide x 13" seat depth x 17.5" seat to floor
The second set measurements are 33.5" high x 18" wide x 13" seat depth x 16.5" seat to floor
The third set measurements are 34" high x 17.5" wide x 12" seat depth x 16.5" seat to floor

All the chairs are in strong functional shape - please note photo of one seat has environmental wood shrinkage but it is solid and stable.

The chairs were purchased in Norwich, England. A fun and quirky set. See less
