An exquisite champagne bottle coaster with duck bird design and beautiful sterling silver rim, circa early 20th century, USA. Piece can be used as wine or champagne bottle coaster in an entertaining area or bar cart. Piece can also be used as catchall bowl, or paper weight in an office. Art glass base has colorful depiction of flying bird. Beaded detailing adorns the edge of the silver rim. Piece is a considerable size. With makers' mark "Frank M Whiting & Co" and "Sterling" on the side of the rim.
