The orange, yellow, and red … Read more This is a bright, eye-catching small needlepoint pillow depicting boats on a beach at sunset. The orange, yellow, and red hues in the sunset are very vivid, and the turquoise color of the water is a nice contrast. The boats are done in gray and black hues.

The 10" x 10" needlepoint textile is in excellent condition, and the back is velveteen with a fold-over opening so that the pillow insert can easily be accessed or changed. The current insert is rather flat as the pillow is about 2 inches deep.

As can be seen from the photos, the pillow is not square. Often when needlepoint hasn't been thoroughly blocked, this is the case because needlepoint canvas becomes distorted during stitching due to the nature of the tent stitch, which pulls the canvas out of its original shape.

Despite the less-than-square shape, this is a cute and cheerful little piece, which will add a pop of color wherever it's displayed. See less
