She is all dressed up in a white dress and broad brimmed straw hat. You can almost see her mother tying the large bow around her chin and pinching her chubby little cheeks. Is she going to visit her grandmother? Or to a party? We'll never know. This oil on canvas painting measures 17" x 14" and is displayed in the original gilt wood and gesso frame measuring 23" x 20". Late 19th century. Signed lower left what looks like F. H. Florian(?). So sweet...

Condition: Overall good condition with some in-painting to the girl's hair and hat and some light surface grime. A professional cleaning would bring more color to the surface. The frame shows some wear, commensurate with age, some of which you can see in the photos. There are also a few spots of chipping to the gesso on the sides and one corner of the frame. Would also benefit from a good cleaning.
