It features brass: drop handles/pulls, escutcheons and locks, a rectangular top above, graduated 2 over 2 drawers, on splayed feet, It is full of age and character with Handmade Dovetail joints
Brass Escutcheons fitted with Capercaillie embossed Brass Oval Handles,
Sitting upon very elegant splay bracket feet with a shaped apron.
The high quality of the workmanship and techniques used in the construction of this chest are excellent examples of Late Georgian Period (early 19th c.)The chest has a lovely deep color and patina, and would have been made circa 1810’s or 1820’s. It is approximately 200 years old. Classic and very stately.
Condition:
The chest is in fine antique condition. but let's not forget that it is 200 years old and as such, you should expect some wear. Chest of drawers has old repairs, veneer loss, a replaced lock.
