Rare and collectible Cedric Hartman desk lamp, c. 1970s–80s. This finely crafted piece features a polished brass counterweight base, arched chrome stem, and adjustable pivoting lamp head with diffuser grid. A hallmark of Hartman’s work, the design is minimal yet highly functional, with impeccable proportions and engineering.
Cedric Hartman (1929–2016) was celebrated for his precision-machined lighting and furniture, produced in limited numbers and sold through exclusive design showrooms. His lamps are considered icons of American modernist design and are highly sought after by collectors.
