This is a really fun 108" long serpentine sofa in cerulean blue terrazzo print velvet. The vintage sofa is sturdy, shapely and super rad. However, the upholstery was not professionally done and is more of a DIY effort. The sofa is ready to use right away, but it would look even better if a seamstress or upholsterer gave it a bit of a nip and tuck.
The midcentury sofa is one long piece and not a sectional. It has a low profile, tight back, detached seat cushion, and solid wood tapered fluted legs. One side has an arm, and the other side curves gracefully into an "S" shape. The sofa is upholstered in blue terrazzo performance velvet in the front with a nubby gray tweed on the back. The sofa is unsigned but was likely made in the US in the mid-20th century.
The 1950s era sofa is in good vintage condition. The sofa itself is well made, comfortable, and solid. The wooden sofa legs are scuffed and scratched but since they are made of solid wood, they could be refinished. The upholstery is super fun but done by an amateur, so it's not the neatest and most polished upholstery job. There are errant seams, mends, gaps, messy folds. The sofa could be mended to neaten the existing upholstery, or it could be re-upholstered altogether.
The sofa measures 108" long, 48" wide, and 27" tall with a seat height of 17.5 inches an an arm height of 21.5 inches.
