Shoemaker is a completely untrained artist who was an employee at Colin Fisher Studios art gallery in Cathedral City, CA beginning in 1999. It measures 11" high X 8.5" wide. It is unframed but without sounding rude, Shoemaker's face paintings exactly the same size and style as this painting, framed sell upwards of $900.00. This is of course unframed and priced accordingly.

Shoemaker started painting on his free time using found materials. And in what seemed like no time his work became well received. The gallery soon began featuring his paintings for sale in the gallery. And in what seemed like no time, he had a one-man art exhibition of his work. Shoemaker took notice early on of the late and well known outsider artist Purvis Young who paints on found materials and all of his work is abstract. Although Shoemaker’s paintings are completely different, the fact that both are untrained and use found materials gave added confidence to move forward as he did.

And Shoemaker’s art is collected by many important private collector’s. This painting is what we call, one of Shoemaker’s Face Paintings. He has created many of these, all unique and different.
