Shoemaker usually paints abstract works of art, but he loves working in wire too. This dog is made from galvanized steel wire. The wire is somewhat thin and sturdy enough to form this sculpture.

And, one of the joys of having this dog is you can place almost anywhere and it looks like it belongs. Shoemaker has had several one man art exhibitions at Colin Fisher Studios in Cathedral City, CA.

This wire dog would look great on the floor or on a table. It measures 8.5” high X 6” wide X 7.5” deep. And obviously it isn’t signed or titled, but clearly it doesn’t need to be walked either. See less
