A piece of functional art made from Mercedes Benz hub caps.
This handbag was made c 1980.
The unique artisan handbag is designed with authentic
chrome plated Mercedes Benz hub caps on both exterior
sides.
It is not signed by any maker or artist.
The hub caps are suspended with black
leather cord straps that are laced around the body. The interior is lined with
silver metallic flecked vinyl and the sides have black vinyl gussets.
This Avant-garde shoulder bag has substantial weight
Makes a very unique one of a kind accessory.
Very sturdy with a secure clasp at the top. May have had a key but is no longer available.
The purse measures 10" inches in diameter and approx. 4" deep.
The drop length from top of the leather cord shoulder
strap to the base of the shoulder bag measures 33" 1/2 inches
