Here's a piece of mixology history to add to your barware collection.
This distinctively pierced silverplate cocktail strainer was patented in 1907 as the "Lashar Julep Strainer" and manufactured by Holmes & Edwards of Bridgeport, Ct. It is marked "Holmes & Edwards XIV" and "Lashar Pat. Apr. 16, '07". It combines the features of a Julep strainer and a Hawthorne coil strainer.
The strainer measures 5-1/2" long x 3" wide.
