This antique, turned-wood, Windsor Dairy Stool has a dished, saddle seat for comfort. It has (3) splayed legs, and only (2) stretchers (very unusual). The wide seat is extremely sturdy and boasts a gorgeous, deep-grain, patina, which was developed over decades of use! The coloring is dark and rich, and covered with interesting “drying” cracks—but let there be no doubts about its strength and sturdiness—this stool was well-built and meant to go the distance!
It is numbered on the bottom of the seat: 1049 and coded on one of its legs, RQ50.
The stool only weighs 6.4 pounds.
