Fabulous Vintage Painting Pair on Silk featuring a hunting scene with tiger and a processional on camels. Watercolor gouache with highlights of metallic gold paint. PALM BEACH ESTATE FIND! We were told these date to the late 19th or early 20th century. I believe they are RAJASTHANI from India.
The art measures 18” x 13” within a textured silk matte. Framed simply with gold metal frame. Condition appears overall very good and the colors are bright and vivid, however There is some evidence of the silk lifting (rippling) from the backing (shown) which is less visible when they are hung on the wall.
Would be a wonderful compliment to your MCM Modernist Hollywood Regency eclectic Boho decor. Please ask any and all questions prior to offer or purchase.
