Simply adorable with a lovely stripe PIPING BORDER, made with its coordinating fabric, to beautify these table mats. Piping or Cording , PROFESSIONALLY handcrafted to embellish and highlight these placemats, are sewn in all the edge of the border:I cover a Medium thick cotton cord by hand with this coordinating striped linen burlap fabric. I put my labor at the junction of the cord that the pipping looks like a continuous visual line (no end ) on the outside of the seam and instead do NOT see TWO LINES (two ends).
The fabric has been prewashed to ensure they retain their size and shape when the completed placemats are washed.
To give an impeccable finished I use “My Vaporette” professional steam ironing and a miniature board.

These placemats are made using Four layers of materials: a top layer, a bottom layer and two layers of fusible interfacing that is sandwiched between the top and bottom layers.
I consider the FUSIBLE INTERFACING, wich has a fabric ‘glue' on one side, the Only one that still holding up pretty well after long times. What it is absolutely necessary for a placemat!
I used Fusible Interfacing on both sides to give additional strength, support to the placemats making them extremely durable keeping its perfect shape.
