A very fine pair of Royal Vienna Vases or Urns. Classical form, the handled upper sections with highly detailed hand painted scenes - some of the best we have seen. The fronts have very elaborate scenes, one with with women and children enjoying a beautiful natural landscape and the other with semi-nude women bathing in, and lounging by the side of a lake. The other side has adorable scenes of cuddling winged cherubs. The upper sections rest on square bases adorned with exquisite gilt decoration including classical scenic vignettes. Fine gold borders, scrolls and floral designs grace the open areas which are glazed with a striking red background.
Hallmarked on the underside with the Vienna bee hive mark in blue. The paintings are also signed by the artist "Knoillez" - a KMP artist. (KPM is an acronym for Königliche Porzellan-Manufaktur Berlin, which translates to “Royal Porcelain Factory in Berlin.” The company was founded in 1763 by Frederick II of Prussia).
Age: Late 19th Century.
From a collector of fine porcelains who has amassed such over the last 40 years - listed by East2West Furniture.
Condition: Very good. Very small surface flake noted at lower edge of one base and some very minor gilt wear in places.
Overall 5" x 7" x 12" tall. Height of top section alone is 9 1/2".

- Upon inspection, If you decide not to move forward with the purchase, you or your agent must refuse the item at the time of pickup/delivery from the seller
- Once you have taken possession of the item, all sales are final

Cancellations

- Deliveries can take anywhere from 6 to 9 weeks to be delivered.
- Chairish Freight Delivery
- Delivered in a crate, to your front door.
- You will need tools and/or equipment to open the crate.

- Chairish Freight deliveries can take anywhere from 4 to 8 weeks.
