It is signed … Read more This artwork "Haitian Market" c.1990, is an oil painting on canvas by Haitian artist Maurice Guerre, b.1947. It is signed at the lower right corner by the artist. The canvas size is 16 x 12 inches, framed size is 20.25 x 16.25 inches. Framed in a wooden light and dark brown frame. It is in excellent condition, the frame have some small minor restorations, barely visible.

About the artist:
Maurice Guerre was born on December 25, 1947, in Anse-A-Veau, east of the capital. When his family moved to Port-au-Prince, he attended primary school at Casenes Dessalines.
