This cabinet originates from southern Germany and dates from 1849. The cabinet has seen better days and shows numerous old repairs. For example, the crest has been replaced and recolored. The same goes for the bottom and the lock of the cabinet. However, the light blue original paint on the entire piece more than makes up for this. This elegant color and the marbled panels with tree of life motif are not often seen, making the entire piece a real eye-catcher. The cabinet still has its original layout with shelves on the right and coat hooks on the left. More shelves or a rod can easily be added if desired. There are sporadic traces of old woodworm throughout, but the furniture has of course been thoroughly checked and treated. In the past, it was customary to give bridal furniture like this to the couple as a wedding gift. This furniture was then placed in a showroom on the farm, which was only rarely used for important visitors or special occasions. A beautiful and decorative piece of history.
