The design of this piece of furniture is very primitive and simple, as is the painting. The whole is finished with a "faux-bois" painting and the panels feature a tree of life and the year: 1769. This piece of furniture comes from southern Germany, from Franconia to be precise. Of course, there are slight signs of wear, but the cabinet is still in good condition for its age. The layout of the cabinet consists of a shelf and coat hooks. Unfortunately, the lock no longer works, although the door can be closed neatly using a click system. In the past, it was customary to give bridal furniture such as this to the couple as a wedding gift. This furniture was then placed in a display room on the farm, which was only rarely used for important visitors or special occasions.
