This cabinet originates from southern Germany and dates from around 1850. This piece of furniture has been restored and repainted, albeit not in the original style and using traditional techniques. The colorful floral panels and soft pink marbled paintwork throughout give the piece a very rustic and romantic look. The cabinet is medium-sized and has shelves on the inside. The doors can be locked with a key. There are slight signs of wear consistent with its age, but nothing out of the ordinary. In the past, it was customary to give bridal furniture like this as a wedding gift to the couple. This furniture was then placed in a display room on the farm, which was rarely used except for important visitors or special occasions. A beautiful and decorative piece of history. Despite the later painting on this piece of furniture, the cabinet is in no way inferior to other examples in terms of appearance.
