A superb pair of glossy black ceramic candlesticks with a fluid and symmetrical design. Their double-volute shape resting on a highly stylized tripod base perfectly illustrates the late art deco style, characteristic of the period 1935–1950. Each candlestick exhibits harmonious balance and a strong sculptural effect.
