The sculpture, skillfully carved from solid oak, represents the famous Pied Piper of Hamelin. The level of detail in the historic costume is exceptional. An interesting feature is the presence of original mounting holes on the base, showing this was a "Möbelfigur," originally part of a grand piece of furniture. A fantastic collector's piece of European decorative art.
