Created by James Coignard (1925–2008), one of France’s most influential postwar painters and printmakers, this work exemplifies his signature use of carborundum etching, collage, and hand-applied pigment. Produced in the artist’s atelier in France, the print is numbered 19/75 and signed in pencil. Coignard’s works are held in major public and private collections, including the Musée d’Art Moderne de Paris and the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.

The linen-covered frame shows a small stain on one corner and minor This piece has an attribution mark,
