Highly decorative and unusual vintage bottle opener, whose sculptural form faithfully reproduces the head of a parrot. Dating from the mid-20th century, this bottle opener has a companion—just like the parrots known as “lovebirds.” Both are available in our selection on this site, and it would be a shame to separate them… they would also make a wonderful and symbolic wedding gift for a couple.
We discovered this piece in Italy in 2025, though its maker remains unknown, as it bears no stamps or engravings confirming its attribution. Its style, however, recalls the refined silver-plated homewares created in the 1970s by brands such as Gucci, Valenti, and Mauro Manetti, who transformed everyday objects into small, precious animal sculptures. The bottle opener is in good vintage condition, showing only minimal signs of age and use, as shown in the photos.
