Maximilien Luce (1858-1941) was a renowned painter, engraver, and poster artist of the French Neo-Impressionist movement. A retrospective of his works was held in 2025 at the Musée de Montmartre. He participated in the Salon des Indépendants in 1888 and at the 1900 Universal Exhibition in Paris. He was a friend of Pissarro, Seurat, and Signac, all major figures in Impressionism.
