The lamp retains its original factory labels, “ateljé Lyktan ab – Åhus – Sweden,” which clearly date it to the production period 1974–1978 and document the continued development of the iconic Supertube series, originally designed by Pehrson in 1967 during his tenure as artistic director at Ateljé Lyktan (1963–1978).

The lamp features the unmistakable U-shaped tubular form associated with Space Age design, combining a white fluorescent tube with a minimalist aluminum structure.
