Magnificent and large oval 19th-century ironstone platter, stamped Gien, “Provençal” collection.
Opaque porcelain with a magnificent swallow decoration. One, in the center, is perched on a pine branch. The other is in flight in the background.
The rim is decorated with a plant frieze repeating the pine motif.
This generously sized dish is in very good condition, with no dents or cracks, and some signs of age.
