The paintings delightfully present busy Venetian scenes of the Grand Canal, featuring gondolas and swans against a background of the Doges Palaces with a contrasting cloudy sky. The artist used very delicate pastel colours to add some mystery to the scenery with some vivid turquoise and slightly golden beige. Condition: In excellent gallery condition having been cleaned and relined by a local conservator in 2001. Dimensions in cm: Height 52 cm x Width 62 cm x Depth 6 cm - Frame Height 35 cm x Width 45 cm - Painting This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
