The painting of the rugged Scottish coastline features a sandy beach with a rock outcrop framing the gentle waves lapping on the shore with sail boats in the distance, contrasted against a cloudy sky. The artist has used a very delicate palette of colours and has succeeded in adding some mystery to the scenes. Several examples of his work have sold at top auction houses.
