This wonderful casket, … Read more This is a delightful antique French ormolu and glass mounted rectangular wedding box circa 1880 in date. This wonderful casket, is ornamented with ormolu floral motifs and mounted on four gilt scroll feet. The base of the casket is lined with blue velvet and the bride's wedding crown would have been displayed on the velvet. The ormolu has taken on a lovely patina, all the chamfered prismatic glass panels are intact and the lid opens and closes correctly. Condition: In really excellent condition, please see photos for confirmation.
