Each is signed lower right "A Pollentine" and further signed and inscribed "Grand Canal Venice" on verso. This beautiful pair of paintings capture striking views of the Grand Canal and both feature busy streets and canal scenes with sailing boats and gondoliers in the foreground, in the distance the facades of Saint Mark's, the Doge's Palace, Santa Maria della Salute and the spiralling tower of the San Marco Campanile complete this wonderful pair. Each housed in it's original and beautiful gilt gallery frame.
