A beautiful wooden sculpture by Danish artist Ole Wettergren, created in the 1970s. Titled "Female", this work embodies the artist’s ability to translate organic material into sculptural elegance and human presence. Wettergren is widely recognized for his wooden sculptures, celebrated in international design and art magazines such as ARK Journal. His practice is rooted in the Scandinavian tradition of minimalism and craftsmanship, where form and material speak with clarity and restraint. The sculpture’s smooth surface, warm tone, and natural patina underline the sensuality of the wood while the minimalist form offers a timeless expression of femininity. As with Wettergren’s other works, "Female" resonates with the modern Scandinavian interior: light, simplicity, and harmony. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
issues arising from misattribution
