Wall mounted coat rack designed by the great French designer Mathieu Mategot in the 1950s for Artimeta, Netherlands
Mategot designed some items for Artimeta that were just released in the Netherlands in small quantities. These items are rare in the Netherlands and even more rare outside the Netherlands.
It has a red metal structure, a red perforated metal hat shelf and a white coated metal cross bar with colored coated hooks in red, yellow, black and white.
The coat rack is in good original condition. Some normal traces of use. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
