A biography of Reginald John "Rex" Whistler, a British artist, who painted murals and society portraits, and designed theatrical costumes. Being a record of his life until his death during the Second World War, Whistler was killed in action in Normandy. Written by his brother, Sir Alan Charles Laurence Whistler, a British glass engraver and poet. He was both the first President of the British Guild of Glass Engravers and the first recipient of the King's Gold Medal for Poetry. See less
