Peter Keil is a German artist who focuses primarily on abstract expressionism. Keil painted with some of the greats, including Joan Miró, Pablo Picasso, and Andy Warhol, to name a few.
This is an incredibly rare piece of Keil's, due to its age and medium type - he very rarely used only ink for an entire creation. This piece is executed on paper and depicts Palma de Mallorca, where Keil resides.
It is signed and dated “P. Keil ‘65” in pencil and titled “Palma de Mallorca” on the verso.
A Certificate of Authenticity from the artist is adhered to the verso.
This piece is in good condition with wear that is consistent with age.
This piece was purchased by the Bowen family as a routine purchase directly from the Keil family, acting on behalf of Peter.
