This delightful ceramic sculpture features a lively, hand-painted dog, likely a Jack Russell Terrier or similar spotted terrier breed, perched playfully atop a tall, precarious stack of antique-style books.
The dog is rendered with expressive detail, captured in a moment of enthusiastic alertness with its mouth slightly open and ears up. The books below are beautifully stylized, featuring varied colors—rich reds, deep yellows, and creams—giving the piece an aged, literary, and whimsical aesthetic.
