A gorgeous hard to find set of “Counterpoint” dining chairs designed by John Van Koert for Drexel in cherry wood circa 1950’s. Newly reupholstered in a natural and neutral (warm gray and off-white threads) cotton / wool woven fabric with just the right period-appropriate texture. Signed under seats (now covered with underlay fabric).
Chairs have a smooth and glossy finish (possibly redone at some point), comfortable curved back and distinctive offset rear legs.
