This vintage 5x7 Persian Kilim is a tribal rug of Varamin provenance. Handwoven in wool, it originates circa 1950-1960.

The minimalist design prefers stripes in black and white atop a rich chocolate brown with a natural, handsome abrash. It’s a simple, cozy design testifying to the distinctive style as a gorgeous option with a very balanced presence. Connoisseurs may note that Varamin refers to the titular city in Tehran, which is a long-revered center of Persian rugs.
