Washi is hand-made traditional Japanese paper that originates in the eighth century, and is still made by hand today. Making of washi is a long process: Bark of Kozo, banboo, rice or wheat are soaked in clean water, boiled to thicken then beaten and filtered through a gridiron and dried in sheets in sunlight for a natural soft finish.
Sumi-ink made with ash of pine tree, and Gansai which is used for the traditional natural face make-up are used as water-color for the special Japanese art. The note in Japanese there says "21st century now! Jump out toward a big dream!" The dragon brings a bright future.
