The outline of the head … Read more Postmodern Abstract Figural Metal Sculpture, designed to hold and display magazines, books and art work. The outline of the head reminds of works by Adolphe Mouron Casandre who designed a advertising posters for Dubonnet.
This is a handmade object from the 1980s and it is highly decorative. The cut metal sheets have solid structure and they add a good amount of weight to make the sculpture a sturdy display stand.
The sculpture is without damage but over the years the enameled surface at the right side of the foot has developed a small amount of pitting. A close up picture of the foot has been posted for better understanding.
Dimensions are 29.5“ height, width 18“ measured across the display tray, depth 12“ measured at the foot. See less
